The Piano, what a great instrument! What a pleasant relaxing sound and great skill to possess. What a great way to communicate and serve others with so many different levels of emotion.

The piano is a great tool for one to use to enhance their mathematical understanding and abilities. It’s a tool that allows you to experience math in a harmonious way through the rhythmic vibrations of sound. These sounds resonate with a harmony that’s innate with the human biology in everyone. One should strive to familiarize themselves and family with these harmonious rhythms, once again, for an increased level of intelligence.

Lucius started his piano training with private lessons at the age of six, these lessons ended after two years. He has since continued his training using the same practice and theory lesson book series that were started during his private lessons. He has continued to move through this series and is now on the last practice book.

Lucius has also been responsible for Michael and Jacob’s lessons and practice using the same piano lesson series. Michael and Jacob have just begun their lesson training earlier this year in 2015.

History: My first two years of piano instruction were accomplished through private piano lessons with an instructor. I began piano lessons at six years old. I’m now thirteen years old and I still love to practice and play the piano. I enjoy being able to read new music and teach myself how to play it. I also enjoy experimenting with composing my own music.

I first attempted to play piano scales on a small keyboard that was kept under my bed. Every day, I would slide the keyboard out, plug it in, and practice on my bedroom floor. Soon, my dad decided to get me piano lessons, because I started improving. Once a week, at six years old I began taking piano lessons. This continued until I was eight years old. After I displayed to my parents that I was serious about playing the piano, my father started doing some homework on purchasing one. He then purchased a “Kawai” piano with a built in tutor and lesson planner. I then stopped taking lessons away from home and began using the Kawai piano and my existing piano books.

I use “Alfred’s Basic Piano Library” lesson books with the Kawai piano. I began with the Level 1 books and I’m now on the Level 4 books. I use both the Practice and Theory books so that I might obtain a more complete instruction.

I have experimented with the “Finale” software program. This program was used to compose my first piece of music when I was seven years old. My dad used Finale to track my voice and the piano. Then he ported it to Flash. Finale also allowed him to export the sheet music that he included in the Flash.swf compilation. You will find this example, below.

This piece I wrote right before Halloween ’08, in the year of our Lord. It was a spur of the moment idea. When my dad saw me writing out the music and playing keys he asked me what I was doing. I showed him and then he helped me with some of the wording. He then explained to me how we could digitize the music and my voice to build a flash file. The rest is history.
