Once Grandpop finishes repairing this accordion, I’ll be looking forward to his weekly instructions. Grandpop has already taught me how to adjust the strap and hold the accordion. He taught me a simple three note scale. Yes, I still need to practice this.
I do value this particular accordion, because I know it’s part of my family’s past. This accordion belonged to my Great Aunt Pam when she was seven years old. Her father, “Lucius Lansworth Latham,” my great grandfather, who I’m named after, bought this for her in a time when money was much more valuable. So, this item has more meaning to me than just being a unique instrument with a story attached to it.
